The Suit Book is Launched
The successful launch of our director Clare’s first book, The Suit Book, went off with a bang last Wednesday, 30th of May.
What a way to end a month on such a high note, surrounded by friends, valued clients and business partners.

Congratulations to our raffle ticket winners of the evening, Steve and Kurt, as well as our own Ping, who won a diving voucher from an impromptu prize, kindly provided by Try Dive.
These amazing prizes helped us to raise over $3000 in funds, to support the Women’s Legal Service.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 1 in 3 women will experience violence in her lifetime and 1 in 4 children will witness violence against their mother or stepmother.
Each year the Service helps more than 11,000 women and with them, over 17,000 children.
However, due to fund shortages, at least 50% of phone calls for help cannot be answered. Who knows when these women and children will have the courage to call again.
Our clients showed up in droves to support the event, some of them we have been working with for over 10 years. There were representatives from Tony Barlow, Hugo Boss, Mitchell Ogilvie, Institchu, Tom James, Black Jacket Suiting, and George and King.
Friends from Queensland Young Lawyers, Queensland Law Society, Brisbane Junior Chamber of Commerce, Brisbane West Chamber of Commerce, Australia Chinese Young Professional Initiative, Dent, Brisbane Elite, Pricewaterhouse Cooper, Chinese Club of Queensland and The Lord Mayor’s Office also came to celebrate with us.
The director of Mitchell Ogilvie, Aung Lynn, and good friend of The Fitting Room, Nathan Schokker, kept us entertained with their kind words about Clare and her business. From Dent Global, Mike Reid was our amazing host, while Natalie Taylor kept the drinks flowing.
Amazing friendship was proved when Katheryn Skopel and Nathan Schokker jumped on board to become impromptu waiters when over 150 hungry guests needed food to accompany the drinks served by our esteemed bartender Carl.
In Clare’s speech on the night, she described her vision. The vision is that Brisbane will no longer follow in the footsteps of Sydney and Melbourne, but become the epicentre of the best dressed professionals and executives in Australia.
The Suit Book is just the beginning of The Fitting Room’s journey, and we look forward to having you all along for the journey to fulfil this vision together.
