A quick note on grooming.

No outfit is complete without good grooming.
Take an hour out of your week and book in with your barber for a hair cut, beard and mustache tidy, and if you have any naughty little ear or nose hairs on display – I recommend removing them too.

Manscaping is always appreciated so show up looking sharp and smelling nice.

Going All Out

Setting: The best restaurants in town.

You’re going for The Works! You’ve booked one of the best restaurants in town, taken tomorrow off work and a boutique hotel room awaits on the other end so you can wine and dine at leisure.

  • The vibe: We’r feeling fancy.
  • Dress code: Cocktail.
Go for a lounge suit. Something that says fun. Shades of blue or grey with a subtle pattern. 2 buttons with a peak or notch lapel.
If you’re not feeling like a suit, go for slim fit cotton dress pants and a blazer.
  • Shirt: Fitted dress shirt. ( If you’ve opted for a suit, don’t be shy to add a french cuff. Brownie points for extra effort.)
  • Shoes: Slim Italian dress shoes. I love brogues and monk straps. Or loafers with bare ankles (use invisible socks).
  • Accessories: The lot! Pocket square, cufflinks, watch, belt (or go Italian style – without), lapel pin. Tie – optional. I love the open shirt under suit look for that effortless feel.
